Challenge
Women in tech and professional roles often face unique hurdles during high-stakes career conversations like salary negotiations, board meetings, and difficult feedback sessions. To support the HerSynergy community, we needed to solve several gaps in traditional mentorship:
Lack of Safe Rehearsal Spaces: Preparing for hard pushback requires realistic practice without the professional risk of making a mistake in the actual room.
Delivery Blind Spots: It is extremely difficult for individuals to self correct their tone, filler words, and hedging phrasing without objective analysis.
Data Gaps: Finding accurate, region-specific salary benchmarks for women in tech across EMEA and Africa is notoriously difficult during negotiations.
Feedback Latency: Traditional mentorship is highly valuable but cannot always provide real-time coaching at 10 PM the night before an urgent meeting.
Process
Mapped the user journey to ensure a highly responsive, secure, and intuitive experience for users discussing sensitive professional data.
Frontend Architecture: Deployed a highly responsive, modern interface using React 19, Tailwind CSS v4, and TanStack Router for seamless client side navigation.
AI Gateway Integration: Routed all LLM traffic through a secure AI Gateway, engineering the system prompt to reflect the specific HerSynergy coaching persona.
Audio Pipeline Construction: Wired the frontend recording tools to ElevenLabs for lightning fast transcription, passing the text directly to Gemini to extract actionable tone improvements and rewrite suggestions.
Secure Backend Provisioning: Set up a managed PostgreSQL database to handle user authentication, store chat histories safely, and run complex salary data matching algorithms.

Intelligent Chat Prep: Integrated Gemini 2.5 Pro to power a conversational agent that adapts to specific scenarios, armed with a custom system prompt and distilled community wisdom.
Voice Rehearsal Coach: Built a browser-based audio recorder that uses ElevenLabs Scribe to transcribe speech, allowing the AI to analyze delivery and generate JSON-structured coaching feedback.
Automated Salary Benchmarking: Engineered a Postgres backend that uses trigram matching to pull comparable EMEA women-in-tech salary data as a baseline during compensation scenarios.
Persistent Learning Context: Developed an automated rolling summary system using Gemini 2.5 Flash-lite to ensure the Co-Pilot remembers past sessions and tracks long-term progress.
